They said the Nigerian national cut one of his kinsmen to death after both of them wrangled about whether the Barcelona star or the Real Madrid forward was better.
Police Inspector Kiran Kabadi told AFP an offense of homicide had been enlisted against Michael Chukwuma, 21, over the passing of 34-year-old Obina Durumchukwu on Sunday in the northern Mumbai suburb of Nallasopara.
The companions had clearly got together on Saturday night to observe Durumchukwu’s birthday. The next morning a contention over football swung to disaster.
“The two Nigerian youths were talking about football players. One is a fanatic of Messi and the other was for Ronaldo,” the assessor said.
“Amid the discussion a fight has occurred. The expired tossed a glass into the substance of the charged individual. The glass broke and created little wounds.
“After that the blamed took the broken glass and attacked the perished individual who kicked the bucket because of overwhelming dying,” included Kabadi.
Nobody was accessible for input at the Nigerian high commission (government office) in New Delhi.
